Payment & Membership Management
Can I switch between membership tiers? If so, how often can I change my tier and when would the change take effect?
Absolutely! You can switch any time and the change should take effect within 24 hours, usually sooner.
If I cancel my membership, do I keep access to courses I've already purchased at the member discount?
For sure! As long as Myth School is an up and running organization you will retain access to your formerly purchased courses.
What happens if I want to pause my membership temporarily? Can I rejoin later at the same tier?
Definitely; you can cancel and rejoin at any time. We don’t have a “pause” function but you just cancel and come back when it works for you.
Are there any additional fees beyond the membership cost?
Nope; no additional fees.
Do you offer student or educator discounts on memberships?
Not at this time. However, if you’ve been a member for at least a year and wish to save money but dearly love Myth School and enjoy your membership, we are happy to speak with you about potential volunteer opportunities.
Technical & Access
Can I share my membership account with family members?
Not really. I mean, if you want to let a friend or family member log into your account so they can check out something, we can’t really prevent that. But keep in mind they will have access to your membership subscription and conversation history and personal profile details. (Plus, you need to have your own, exclusively solo account to participate in live courses.)
How do I access my member benefits once I join?
Using this link, log in. You will also have received an email with a link to log in for the first time via email as soon as you sign up as a member.
Are there any geographic restrictions for membership?
No. However, live courses will largely be held in time zones that work for people in North America and Europe for the most part, as the founders and manager of Myth School live in these regions, as do the majority of course participants. (So you’d have to stay up late, get up early, or view live course session recordings.)
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards. [Not sure if we accept PayPay…]
Is my membership set to auto-renew? How do I manage my renewal settings?
Unless otherwise specified, your membership IS set to automatically renew. If you wish to turn off automatic renewal, you can do so in your profile dashboard. [I should clarify exactly where this is.]
Course-Related
Do membership discounts apply to all courses, or are some courses excluded?
Membership discounts apply to all courses (except of course for those you receive for free as a benefit of membership).
Can I purchase courses without being a member?
Absolutely! Just look for the “stand-alone” option on any course page.
If I buy a course at the Weekender tier discount and later upgrade to Obsessed, will I get a refund for the difference?
Nope! The price you pay matches the discount level you receive based on your membership tier at the time of course purchase. (If you change your mind within 7 business days, email us and we can try to make this happen.)
Is there a limit to how many courses I can purchase with my member discount?
No. The only limit is the number of courses we offer.
Organization & Mission
As a nonprofit project, how are membership fees used?
As of this writing Myth School is in the early stages. Therefore, membership fees are used to cover basic setup, maintenance, and administrative costs, including our fiscal sponsorship fees.
What is your relationship with Inquiring Systems Inc., and how does that benefit members?
Inquiring Systems Inc. is our fiscal sponsor 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. You can learn more about them here. If it weren’t for them, Myth School would not exist! They make operating as a nonprofit possible. (And by the way, I highly recommend seeking out a fiscal sponsor rather than starting your whole own nonprofit organization. A good fiscal sponsor is a treasure!)
How long has Myth School been operating?
Myth School was in the planning stages throughout 2023 and 2024, and began official operations in Spring of 2025.
