Once upon a time…

Felicia I. Chavez, Ph.D., MBA
Felicia considers herself a mystic in academic’s clothing. As a student of a small, esoteric meditation school beginning in 2005, she began to understand the fundamental role played by spiritual and religious traditions in global sustainability, or lack thereof. Earning her MBA in Sustainable Enterprise (“GreenMBA,” 2007), she took note of the plethora of great ideas and the paucity of implementation.
It wasn’t until she was writing her dissertation as a PhD student at Pacifica Graduate Institute that she really took on a study of systems thinking, which proved to compliment her first-hand spiritual experience…
In 2017 she founded a small nonprofit project, Systems Thinking Marin, which worked to spread “the good word” of systems thinking in her then home, the Marin County, California. A five-year project, Systems Thinking Marin ramped-down in 2022, and Felicia and her partner moved to the East Coast.

Now Felicia works in publishing at the Swedenborg Foundation, and loves the work and the opportunity to dive into the profound words of Emanuel Swedenborg. Complimenting her background and current occupation, Felicia is excited to share her wealth of knowledge about archetypes, and spiritual and religious traditions, and to learn from others to unleash the power of myth for a new generation of seekers/finders.
